REPAPIS

Dr. Christos Repapis, born in Cairo, Egypt. After his secondary education in Cairo he attended and graduated from the Physics Department of the Athens University.

He also got master degree on Meteorology of the Athens University and a PhD degree in Meteorology – Climatology. He attended post doctor studies and research in the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder of Colorado and in the University of Minnesota of USA and also in the University of Birmingham of UK.

Dr Repapis has been Associate Professor in the Department of Meteorology of the University of Ioannina, Greece and from 1985 to 2005 he was Director of the Research Center of Atmospheric Physics and Climatology of the Academy of Athens.

Dr Repapis, with his collaborators, published many papers in international Scientific Journals also Scientific reports in the field of Meteorology, Climatology and Physics of the Atmosphere.

From the very beginning of the establishing of the Mariolopoulos – Kanaginis Foundation for the Environmental Sciences he was nominated as General Secretary in the Board of Directors (1993-2015).
