Mohamed Kenawi
Mohamed Kenawi, obtained his BA degree from Alexandria University, Egypt, Master degree from Bologna University, and PhD from Siena University, Italy. He used to work at the American University in Cairo as adjunct faculty, and teaches at Alexandria University and Catania University. He collaborates on different projects with Padua University, Oxford University, and Tübingen University.
He published many articles about his research in the Delta and Fayoum beside his main work in a monograph entitled: Alexandria's Hinterland: Archaeology of the Western Nile Delta, Egypt (2014). His second book with G. Marchiori (In press) deals with the history of the Italian archaeology in Alexandria. Kenawi participated in different field-works in Italy, Libya, and Egypt and recently joined the large scale excavation of Athribs (Sohag), where the Last large Ptolemaic temple was discovered.
